RABBIT
EYES
-
Rabbit eyes are located on the sides of their
heads and come in several colors including pink.
-
A
rabbit can see better to the side, behind or above.
-
Rabbits have a blind spot right in front of
them.
-
Rabbits
have very limited color vision. They can tell green from blue.
-
Baby
bunnies open their eyes at about 10 days old.
-
Rabbits
can detect movement from long distances.
-
Your
rabbit can see better than you do in dim light.
-
A rabbit will recognize your
shape, smell and voice to get a picture of you
I
always say "hello" to my rabbits when I see them in case I am wearing
a big overcoat, or carrying an object and my shape isn't familiar. Rabbits
recognize shapes first.
